CBSS Presents “Abbey Ridge Live”

Abbey Ridge Live logoAn in-studio online concert series featuring original music filmed live at Crystal Blue Sound Studios is the newest initiative launched by the west central Florida-based facility.  Entitled “Abbey Ridge Live,” the content will be packaged as a Web series and posted on the CBSS official YouTube channel, with audio excerpts to be posted on SoundCloud.  Studio owner Dominick Pages indicated that a special edition might pop up from time-to-time.

In making the announcement, Pages indicated that the show was created and is intended to invigorate the original music community, encourage collaboration, and promote the artists who appear on the show.  The ultimate goal is to encourage and educate artists and viewers on the benefits of creativity.

“A large part of the mission of this project is to work together collectively and raise the standard in central Florida,” he explained.  “Everyone needs to pull together, encourage, and help each other.  (Associates with Abbey Ridge Live) want to invigorate and unite the music community because we love music and recognize the countless benefits of being creative.”  The ARL slogan is "Be creative."

ARL will consist of an acoustic act and featured act.  The show will be hosted by Bruce Wawrzyniak of Now Hear This.

“House concerts are now a regular part of the live music scene,” Pages said.  “When you bring that element into an intimate setting with listeners among the artists and mix it with, say, 'Daryl’s House' (the Palladia series), you get 'Abbey Ridge Live.'  An acoustic act will play for 20 minutes to open the show, and the featured act will perform for 40 minutes.”

A selected live audience will be attending the show to watching the artists perform. Pages noted that preliminary discussions have already included mentions of guest artists and hosts showing up from time to time, and the possibility of impromptu jam session.
